Media Control Valve Benefits
We use AquasorbR coconut shell activated carbon. This is a high- activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation of select coconut shell charcoal. Its high microporosity makes it particularly well suited for the adsorption of low molecular weight compounds at very low concentrations. It is also ideally suited for the removal of oxidizing agents such as chlorine from drinking water. Series PWBWCAL acid neutralizing system are designed for residential applications with intermittent flow rates up to 15 gallons per minute. They stop the corrosion of metal components and fixtures within a plumbing system by neutralizing the acidic nature of supply water that has a pH of less than 7. Periodic backwashing of the media bed cleans it of captured impurities.

Residential systems should be installed at the point-of-entry to a home to treat both the hot and the cold water.
